On the upside- don't you just love fall?
Let me tell you more about our trip, and show you where our daughter is spending her year. After leaving the mainland and sailing to Vancouver Island, we took a tiny ferry over to Thetis Island- a tiny little dot in the Georgia Straight, and home to Capernwray Harbour Bible Centre. Looks rough, eh? It's so beautiful I wanted everyone I know to share it. If you've never been to the Pacific Northwest you must plan to do so in the future.

Yes, the water really is this clear! This was my first time seeing real, live starfish! My friend thought I was pretty goofy for getting so excited, but hey, she grew up in California, on the coast no less, so she didn't get my fascination. I'm sure all of you who grew up landlocked as I did understand, don't you?

Oh, wow! Yeah - poor Vanessa, gonna be a rough year. Sheesh!
And oh, yes! You know I SO get your fascination! I love the water shots of the starfish! Gorgeous!
When we drove a little further north to Nanaimo there were tons there too, and all colors! So cool. I'm still trying to find the picture of the anemones...
